Cinesthesia is a curatorial project combining classic films with experimental live scores, expanding the possibilities of the cinema experience. Their latest project departs from past events (A Trip to the Moon, Alice in Wonderland, Metropolis), scoring the haunting, spectacular beauty Walkabout.

The Film
Two kids are stranded in the Australian Outback, abandoned by their father and forced to cope on their own. After a chance encounter they are shown how to survive by an Aborigine boy, who in the process underscores the disharmony between nature and modern life.

The Score
Orchestra Elastique are an improvisation collective comprising of performers and multi-instrumentalists. Music is their playground, taking influences from Minimalist Music, Free Jazz, Middle Eastern, South American, Krautrock, and various folkloric and tribal traditions. Ranging from subtle dreams to explosive psychedelia, Orchestra Elastique’s performances elasticate mind, senses and spacetime.
